Passengers have been hit hard after public vehicle entrepreneurs obstructed all routes to and from Bhadrapur in Jhapa district demanding maintenance of district roads.
The
long and short route vehicles of additional two routes to and from the district
headquarters are also in agitation from today with an objective of making the
agitation more effective although traffic at Birtamod-Bhadrapur road section
was halted for the past three days.
Short
route vehicles operating their services at Chandragadhi from Charali and
Chandragadhi and Bhadrapur from Dhulabari have obstructed their services from
this morning.
Service
recipients are in problem and there was direct impact of transport service
obstructions in government offices.
A
40-kilometer road from Bhadrapur of Charali to Kechana along the Mechi Highway
is going to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 400 million of the government of
India. A GVR Company of Hyderabad, India, has taken responsibility to construct
the road.
The
company, which had signed the agreement on November 2011 to construct the road,
has to complete the construction work by 2014. But it has not expedited the
